I literally drove all the way from Tuscaloosa to get a Birria pizza and I was NOT disappointed! So delicious! The meat was so tender and seasoned so well. I most definitely recommend eating from here!!!

Got the Birria plate and lemme tell you, this place is great. Quick service, super easy to order, very friendly staff, and the food is delicious. One of the few places I've found that does truly traditional tomato rice and it's tasty as can be. Definitely coming back and if you haven't tried it you absolutely should.

Just about a month ago, on a very cold morning, I had been to the Center Point Post Office and then had stopped for coffee at Rochelle's Place. Hoping to find a new-to-me eatery in the area, I check Google maps. I had some trouble finding the place, but that may have been because I was looking for a building. I had driven right past the food truck with Sazon Casero in large letters. My knowledge of Mexican cuisine is pretty sparse, so I ordered lengua tacos, since I had tried and liked them at Johnny Sanchez in New Orleans, along with a pastor gordita because I recalled Taco Bell had advertised gorditas at one time. They cook everything to order, so it was cold waiting outside the food truck that morning. Other, smarter people, waited in their cars. Still, it wasn't long before I had my food and was on my way home with it. They make their own sauces and while the red sauce was past my tolerable spice level, I loved the green sauce. The masa of the Gordita was soft and fresh and there was a good amount of shredded pork inside; however, the tacos were the clear winner here! I loved the cucumber slices and lime wedges served on the side along with the onions I had expected raw onions(not good), but got sauteed(very good)! I decided then, I'd get the beef cheek tacos next visit. Today, I stopped by after shopping, planning to order the beef cheek tacos. I looked at the menu board, opened Google maps and read the one review that raved about the birria pizza. I didn't see that on the menu, so I ordered the Mexican pizza. I think they're different names for the same thing, though not sure. The order took about 7 minutes to prepare. I ate a slice while driving home as it was only fair to try it while it was hot, right? This is something I wouldn't have ordered without the thumbs up from the other reviewer and I applaud the recommendation! In addition to the sauces, limes and cucumber slices, there was a cup of broth with onions and cilantro, which was great for dipping the pizza, but also worked well as an onion soup. You'll find the El Sazon Casero food truck across from Civitan Park in front of a white office building at 2244 Center Point Road. Maybe beef cheek tacos next week...
